Fall is in full swing at the Fredericksburg Racquet Center! There’s a lot happening on and off the courts this fall. From more opportunities to learn and compete to visible progress at the future Fredericksburg Racquet Center, this season is a reminder of what can happen when a community rallies around play.
Whether you’re picking up a racquet or paddle for the first time, looking for your next tournament, or helping us build what comes next, we hope you’ll join us.

One of the things we love most about tennis is that it truly is a lifelong sport. The Fredericksburg Tennis Association Generation Gap Doubles Tournament celebrates exactly that.

Players from different generations (must be 20 years between you and your partner) will come together for a weekend of competition, connection, and one of Fredericksburg’s favorite tennis traditions.
Events like Generation Gap are a wonderful reminder that the relationships built through racquet sports can span decades.
Save the Date: A Sparkling Evening
December 9, 2026 | Hoffman Haus
We are honored that the Washburne family has chosen to once again host A Sparkling Evening as a benefit for the Fredericksburg Racquet Center.
Expect an evening of great wine curated by La Bergerie, food by Hoffman Haus, vinyl selections by Moving in Stereo, and much, much more. It’s a night built around good taste, good company, and a shared commitment to the future of racquet sports in Fredericksburg.
Last year, this community showed just how powerful it can be when people rally behind a common vision. We’re excited to gather again, celebrate the progress already underway, and help move the Fredericksburg Racquet Center even closer to opening day.
Save the date. More details and ticket information coming soon.
Construction Update | Look How Far We’ve Come
Less than a year ago, driving past our “Coming Soon” sign meant looking out over an empty field.
Today, Phase One of the Fredericksburg Racquet Center is nearly halfway complete.
The vision began in fall 2023 after the City of Fredericksburg’s Parks Master Plan survey identified a strong need for more tennis and pickleball courts, as well as walking trails. Community champions, local leaders, racquet professionals, and partner organizations came together to turn that need into something real.
And now you can see it taking shape.
But there is still important work ahead. Fully funding Phase One will help keep construction moving on schedule and bring us closer to opening our first courts to the community in Spring 2027.
Help Us Finish Phase One: Become a Founding Member
Campaign closes December 31, 2026
There is still important work ahead, and right now we need more people to step into the rally.
Your support can help fully fund Phase One, keep construction moving on schedule, and bring us closer to opening in spring 2027. If you believe in creating more opportunities for tennis, pickleball, youth programming, healthy movement, and community connection, we’d love to have your support.
Individuals, families, and organizations who give at the Founding Member level by December 31, 2026 will be recognized as part of the group that helped bring the Fredericksburg Racquet Center from vision to reality.
Become a Founding Member. Make a gift. Help us spread the word.
PAVE THE PATH TO PLAY
Coming soon: make your support a permanent part of the Fredericksburg Racquet Center.
Our new Pave the Path to Play campaign will give individuals, families, and businesses the opportunity to purchase an engraved paver for the future facility.
Honor someone you love. Celebrate your family. Recognize your business. Mark a milestone. Or simply put your name behind a project you believe in.
Every paver will become part of a path built toward more play, more connection, and more opportunity for our community.
WEAR THE RALLY
Want another way to show your FRC spirit?
Our Fredericksburg Racquet Center merchandise lets you take the rally beyond the courts. Grab a sweat towel, hat, shirt, or favorite piece of FRC gear and help us keep this project visible throughout the community.
It’s also a pretty easy conversation starter when someone asks, “What’s the Fredericksburg Racquet Center?”
Tell them. Invite them. Bring them into the rally.
Every clinic played, tournament entered, donation made, event attended, and conversation shared helps move this project forward.
Thank you for believing in what’s possible and for continuing to show up for the future of racquet sports in Fredericksburg.
Let’s Rally. For our community. For our kids. For our future.
